Can students see their own validation status before they finalise their submission?

Yes, students see their result first. After the questions, the student sees whether their work is validated or not validated yet.

Yes, students see their result, and then can decide what to do next:

  • If their work is validated, they can send it to you, or keep working on it first.

  • If their work not validated yet, they can go back and try again, as many times as they like, or send it to you anyway.

Educators can only see the attempt the student chooses to send.

Is there a score?
No. Validate doesn't give a score or percentage to anyone. The result is a clear standard: the work either reached the level of assurance you set, or it hasn’t yet.

What do I see that students don't?
You get more detail to help you mark and talk with students:

  • Each question the student was asked, and how they answered it

  • How the three factors combined to reach the result: Cognitive Command (the questions), Authorship Continuity and Human Factors

These are shown as how much each factor contributed relative to the others, not as numbers.

What do students see if their work isn't validated?
Clear guidance on what they can do next. They can review their work and upload it again, as well as doing the Q&A again, or they can choose to submit their work that is not validated.
