Can Studiosity check my referencing?
The feedback you will receive will guide you to understand when and where to use referencing appropriately, to the standards expected in academic writing. We support and can help with all referencing styles, in this way.
Currently, we provide style-specific guidance for APA 6th, APA 7th, and Chicago (with Harvard, IEEE, and Vancouver coming soon). You will receive comments on your in-text citations as well as your reference list.
If your referencing style is not listed above, you will still receive feedback on the consistency and appropriateness of your referencing. Please select 'General use of sources feedback' when uploading your document.
As Studiosity’s philosophy is around ‘help, not answers’, we don’t provide any correcting or proofreading services, including when it comes to referencing formatting.
What if I can’t understand my ‘referencing guide’?
You can connect with one of our English specialists in the Connect Live service, send them a link to your guide and discuss it with them in real time. They can help you make sure you’re interpreting your guide correctly.
Where do I find my ‘referencing guide’?
Check your student learning portal, or your education provider’s website under ‘Referencing’.
How do I know which referencing style I’m supposed to use?
This will usually form part of your assignment or assessment instructions from your course convenor. If you can’t see any particular style specified, you should always ask them to clarify, before you start on your assignment.
